October 1 2016 - October 2 2016 Grafton Bridge to Bridge Ski Race From its conception in 1973 with 27 competitors, the Grafton Bridge to Bridge Ski Race is now recognised as a leading event in the waterski racing calendar and a longstanding event in Grafton’s sporting fixtures on the long weekend in October.

Commencing at the Crown Hotel in Grafton, competitors will waterski down the Clarence River to the Harwood Bridge and return. This run is a total distance of 108km, the 2nd longest race in Australia!

November 12th 2016 Yamba Rod Run Every year, the small coastal town of Yamba at the mouth of the Clarence River plays host to hot rod enthusiasts from up and down the Australian east coast.

Some splendidly restored modern and vintage rods can be seen tootling around Yamba streets, adding an extra layer of colour to the sun and surf.

05 December 2016 - 06 December 2016 Head of the River Regatta The Clarence River will come alive with boats, competitors and officials, when the river's two major rowing regattas are held at Memorial Park in Grafton.

The Head of the Clarence River Regatta is expected to draw a large number of schools to compete. In the past crews have came from New Zealand, Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney, Gold Coast and, of course, the competitive Clarence Valley schools. The School Boys Championship eights, the main event of the day, always attracts a lot of interest.
