Squeaky Gate Retreat and B&B
Welcome to Squeaky Gate Retreat
"
Where the river flows wide and free"
We are a new, purpose built, air conditioned Bed and Breakfast designed to be a getaway for couples, families and small groups. It's all about chilling; doing precisely what you need to do to relax and unwind. There is free NBN WIFI (Avg 23mbps), TVs, a DVD collection, a library, and a complimentary bottle of bubbly on arrival.*

We are located mid-way between Newcastle and the Sunshine Coast. There are no neighbours nearby, no noise, no stress; just watch the mighty Clarence flow by at your doorstep here at Ashby in Northern NSW, just 10 minutes off the Pacific Highway.

There’s gorgeous views, birdlife… so much of it, kangaroos and wallabies, echidnas, great fishing out the front, great food and wine, and you’re within 20 minutes driving distance of the beautiful beaches of Yamba or Iluka.

We are pet friendly: You are welcome to bring your pets, so long as the animal(s) is/are well behaved. We have two staffies ourselves... Zac and Bella.. our friendly staff are always happy to serve you.

Dining in: You may choose to dine in, or dine at one of the local restraunts or cafes. Just let us know if you wish to dine in with a little notice.
We can provide for gluten free, lactose free, vegetarian and vegan diets. We are now licensed to sell alcohol to our guests, so you don't have to worry about the drive back after dinner.
Smoking: There is a smoking area downstairs. Smoking is not permitted upstairs.
